Finlandia Unemployement Rate Jumped

The unemployment rate jumped higher Finland topped estimates last month. Data from the Central Statistics Finland released today (26/2) shows, the country's unemployment rate jumped to 8.7% in January. This is the highest level in eight months.

Compare this with the new December unemployment rate reached 6.9%. Meanwhile, three economists surveyed by Bloomberg predict the unemployment rate will be around 7.8% Finland 8.3% up.

The same data also showed that the number of Finnish citizens who are out of work rose by 25,000 people in one year to 228,000 people.

Finnish economy fell into recession in the first half of last year. Currently, Finland is trying hard to survive amid declining demand in Europe. Moreover, the association of 17 countries facing economic contraction for a second year.
